Behold the shrine of our humanity.
By a certain reckoning, we are now in the fifth age—the Age of Iron.
Our time on this Earth is frought with doubt, and even now the great toothy unknown prowls about in the inky twilight of the not-impossible, there just beyond the acumen of our certainty’s firelight.
What transpires hence—and who indeed the players in the great tale of the story of our lives reveal themselves to be—is left to those who would affect a more-than-passing interest in such things.
This page is an attempt at portraiture; a fleeting totem raised to the brilliant light of the lives of the profoundly ordinary—our very-human peers.
May you appreciate their discovery in your life as fully as I have in mine.

“For man to be able to live he must either not see the infinite, or have such an explanation of the meaning of life as will wed the finite to the infinite.”
“No legacy so rich as honesty.”
“No man is an island, entire of itself; ev’ry man is a piece of the continent, a part of the main. If a clod be washed away by the sea, Europe is the less, as well as if a promontory were, as well as if a manor of thy friend’s or of thine own were: any man’s death diminishes me, because I am involved in mankind, and therefore never send to know for whom the bell tolls; it tolls for thee.”
“The Wheel of Time turns, and Ages come and pass, leaving memories that become legend. Legend fades to myth, and even myth is long forgotten when the Age that gave it birth comes again.”
